5 things to know before switching from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

The WordPress adventure usually starts with a simple, personal blog if you just want to write some thoughts down or create a community around a topic or hobby.

At the moment, there are over 75 million sites built on WordPress, and half of them are hosted on the free version of it: WordPress.com.

The rest is using WordPress.org. Which is the business-oriented platform, but more difficult to manage than the first one.

The importance of blogs – Why every business needs a blog for marketing

If you look at the biggest companies in the world, there are just a few without blogs. I challenge you to go to their websites and find the blog. Also, you’ll notice that they’re posting regularly.

If brands like Samsung, Apple or Volkswagen have blogs, I think I just made my point. Most of the time they can be found under the name “Blog” but sometimes you’ll notice they are named “Latest News” or simply “News”, pages where these companies’ communicators are writing posts about the latest announcements and releases.
